Vasileios Papadogiannis

I recently completed my PhD in the Department of Zoology of the University of Oxford, on the field of evolutionary developmental biology. My work has investigated the evolution of gene expression and its regulation during embryogenesis, concentrating on the vertebrate nervous system. One of my main research interests has been how ancient non-coding elements that are conserved across vertebrate genomes regulate important developmental genes. Previously, I completed an MSc in Biotechnology at the University of Edinburgh and a BSc in Biology at the University of Athens.
